PICK BY PROCEDURE
WHICH TIER FOR WHICH PROCEDURE
| PROCEDURE | RECOMMENDED | WHY |
|---|---|---|
| Botox / Neuromodulators | Pro | Fast onset is what matters; depth is irrelevant for superficial injections. |
| Lip filler | Ultra | Highest nerve density in the body — quad-agent is the clinical preference. Phenylephrine reduces bruising. |
| Facial filler (cheek, jaw, NLF) | Pro | Pro covers most facial filler comfortably. Step up to Ultra for highly anxious patients. |
| Microneedling (0.5 – 1.5 mm) | Pro | Standard depth — Pro is the workhorse here. |
| RF microneedling (Morpheus8, Vivace, Genius) | Ultra | Deep insertion plus RF energy is the most painful microneedling. Quad-agent + extended duration for multi-area treatment. |
| Laser hair removal (face, underarm, bikini) | Pro | Small body surface area, Pro covers within daily max dose. |
| Laser hair removal (full back, full legs) | Pro | Large area — Pro keeps dose calculations simpler. Watch daily max. |
| Laser tattoo removal | Ultra | More painful than the original tattoo. Quad-agent depth handles ink-particle fracture pain at the dermis. |
| Ablative fractional resurfacing | Ultra | Aggressive depth — Ultra plus optional regional nerve block. |
| Standard tattoo session | Pro | 1-3 hour sessions fit Pro's duration window comfortably. |
| Full sleeve / back piece tattoo | Ultra | Long sessions need extended duration. Pro fades halfway through. |
| Paramedical / areola repigmentation | Pro | Sensitive tissue — Pro provides consistent comfort across grafted and non-grafted skin. |
| Dermatologic biopsy | Pro | Standard 4-6 mm punch biopsy — Pro is sufficient with rapid onset. |
| Mohs surgery topical phase | Pro or Ultra | Pro is standard. Ultra for the largest excisions or multi-stage cases. |
| Dental pre-injection | Pro | Surface-level numbing prior to injection — Pro's rapid onset is ideal. |
| Patient with Benzocaine allergy | Elite | Only Benzocaine-free formulation in the line. |
| Patient with methemoglobinemia history | Elite | Avoids both Benzocaine and Prilocaine. Single-amide formulation is safer in this population. |

FAQ
TIER QUESTIONS
What's the difference between Pro, Elite, and Ultra?+
Pro is BLT 20/10/10 — three agents plus Phenylephrine. 15-min onset, 2-4 hr duration. Elite is Lidocaine 30% + Tetracaine 7% — Benzocaine-free. 20-min onset, 1-3 hr. Ultra is quad-agent BLT+ with Prilocaine plus Phenylephrine in ointment base only. 15-min onset, 3-5 hr duration.
Which tier is best for lip filler?+
Ultra — the lips are the most nerve-dense tissue in the body. The quad-agent formulation + ointment base + Phenylephrine bruising reduction makes Ultra the clinical preference. See the lip filler guide.
Which tier is best for microneedling?+
Cosmetic and standard medical microneedling (0.5-1.5 mm): Pro. Aggressive medical microneedling (1.5-2.5 mm) and RF microneedling (Morpheus8, Vivace, Genius): Ultra. See the microneedling guide.
Which tier is best for tattoo work?+
Standard tattoo sessions and paramedical work: Pro. Long sessions, sleeves, back pieces, laser tattoo removal: Ultra. Benzocaine-sensitive clients: Elite. See the tattoo guide.
When should I choose Elite over Pro?+
Patients with documented Benzocaine allergy. Pediatric-adjacent care where Benzocaine carries methemoglobinemia risk. Protocols requiring Lidocaine-dominant single-amide formulation. Patients with vasoconstrictor sensitivity contraindicating Phenylephrine.
Why is Ultra ointment only?+
The ointment base creates a protective layer that keeps the quad-agent load (~48% total) in prolonged contact with skin, supporting both elevated concentration and 3-5 hour duration. A cream base would clear faster, shortening Ultra's duration window.
Can I stock all three tiers?+
Yes — many established practices stock all three. Pro turns over fastest as the daily workhorse. Ultra is for the most demanding procedures and converts to higher patient satisfaction in premium services. Elite covers the ester-sensitive patient population every large practice encounters. Auto-reorder keeps all three in stock with 15% recurring discount.
How do the prices compare?+
Pricing is largely consistent across tiers and scales by size. $60 for 30 g pump, $255-270 for 454 g pro jar. Pro tops at $255; Elite and Ultra at $270 because of more expensive actives. Auto-reorder takes 15% off recurring orders.
